Setting Boundaries with Difficult People

New Hope Basic Training, Class 4 Outline
William Gaultiere, Ph.D.
Executive Director of the New Hope Crisis Counseling Center

Some of the people we chat with are difficult people to deal with. They may be abusive, raging, sexually inappropriate, or, more commonly, just stuck in their problems.  Responding to these people requires a different approach.  As New Hope Counselors we always need to be kind and caring to people, but with these difficult people we need to limit our time and “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15).  In this class Dr. Bill , modeling his approach after Jesus, teaches you how to be kind and firm, how to use care and limits.
